About ORCP

The aim of ORCP is to publish high quality clinical and basic research relating to the epidemiology, mechanism, complications and treatment of obesity and the complication of obesity. Studies relating to the Asia Oceania region will be particularly welcome. In addition to original research the ORCP will publish reviews, patient reports, short communications, and letters to the editor (including comments on published papers). The proceedings and abstracts of the Annual Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) will be published as a supplement each year.

Affiliated Societies

The Asia Oceania Association for the Study of Obestiy was established in 2001, AOASO aims to exchange information related with obesity in each country. AOASO hosts the Asia-Oceania Conference on Obesity (AOCO).

The Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (formally known as the Australasian Society for the Study of Obesity or ASSO) was established in 1991. It is a scientific organisation of medical practitioners, dietitians, scientists and other health care professionals interested orcp journalin obesity research, treatment or public health initiatives directed at the prevention of obesity.

The Taiwan Medical Association for the Study of Obesity (TMASO) was established on 10th December, 2000. It now consists of 2,000 physician and surgeon members including 231 bariatric specialists.
