About the Journal

The aim of ORCP is to publish high quality clinical and basic research relating to the epidemiology, mechanism, complications and treatment of obesity and the complication of obesity. Studies relating to the Asia Oceania region will be particularly welcome. In addition to original research the ORCP will publish reviews, patient reports, short communications, and letters to the editor (including comments on published papers). The proceedings and abstracts of the Annual Meeting of the Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) will be published as a supplement each year.

The Australian and New Zealand Obesity Society (formally known as the Australasian Society for the Study of Obesity or ASSO) was established in 1991. It is a scientific organisation of medical practitioners, dietitians, scientists and other health care professionals interested in obesity research, treatment or public health initiatives directed at the prevention of obesity.
